Deep Tissue L-Track Massage Track

The AP-Pro Ultra incorporates the popular L-Track massage, which not only massages your neck and entire back, but also extends into the seat to massage the buttocks, the top of the hamstrings and the hips with the extended L-Track quad roller massage. Most massage chairs have rollers that abruptly end when it hits the lower back -- many of which use air compression technology inside the seat -- but the AP-Pro Ultra's extends approximately 20" past the lower back, providing a deep tissue seat massage that airbags are unable to match.

3-Stage Zero Gravity

Inspired by NASA technology, the Zero Gravity position is the perfect position to enjoy your massage, aligning your back relative to your thigh at an optimal level of comfort.

Unlike most chairs that offer one or two Zero Gravity recline positions, the AP-Pro Ultra allows you to select from three Zero Gravity positions, each being more severe in pitch relative to the base than the previous one. During the third stage, your legs are elevated slightly above your heart and the complete weight of your back is virtually supported by the backrest which maximizes the intensity of the massage.

Foot and Calf Rollers

The AP-Pro Ultra is one of the few massage chairs that offers both calf and foot rollers. Most massage chairs offer foot rollers only and rely on the airbags to massage the calves, but this chair incorporates both in the calf area: airbags that apply a compression massage on the sides of the calves and two (2) rows of spinning reflexology massagers that provide a soothing kneading-style application to the back of the calves.

Next Generation Air Massage Technology

The AP-Pro Ultra has been developed and engineered with the next generation of air massage technology. Through innovative engineering, the total number of airbag count has reduced, but the the volume and surface area have been increased to better streamline the massage chair. In doing so, the the total number of working valves has been drastically reduced. This ultimately puts less stress on the chair and makes it less prone to repairs in the long-run, making it one of the most mechanically sound massage chairs in the market.

The AP-Pro Ultra encompasses 30 airbags throughout the chair. The airbags work in concert with the 50" roller track to massage the areas of the body that even a roller track of that length can't reach by providing a rejuvenating compression (squeezing) massage to increase circulation. The airbags are lined above and below the arms/hands, outer shoulders, hips/waist, the lower back, calves, feet and inside the seat. Through the remote control, you can adjust the intensity of the airbags up to three levels (weak, mild and strong).

Arm Air Massagers

The AP-Pro Ultra has a dedicated pocket where you place your arms. During your massage session, the tops and bottoms of the airbags will inflate and deflate independently of each other on the arms and hands, resulting in a revitalizing air massage. The arm airbags are made with durable spandex. The bottom portion of the arm massager have been lined with small rubber bumps to invigorate the senses as the airbags compress and decompress. The rubber bumps also serve to keep the arms in place during the duration of your massage.

Shoulder, Lumbar & Hip Stretch

The outer shoulder region of the chair has two large airbags that are programmed to inflate and deflate at independent times, which provides an outer shoulder massage. The shoulder airbags also serve to pin your shoulders to the backrest of the chair to enjoy a deeper tissue massage.

The AP-Pro Ultra has two wide airbags in the waist area and two in the lower back. When they inflate, they massage the hard-to-reach pelvic area and lower back, twisting the hips and back from side-to-side. This creates an an enjoyable deep stretch not found in many massage chairs.

Calf & Foot Air Squeeze

In the foot region of the chair, there are 8 airbags located in the calf area and 4 airbags located in the feet area. The calf airbags line the upper foot ottoman to hold the feet and place, and compress/squeeze the sides of the calves. This in addition to the aforementioned unique calf rollers that are located behind the calves.

The feet airbags serve to massage the sides of the feet and push the feet into closer contact with the spinning foot rollers on the bottom of the foot ottoman.

4 Automatic Programs + Stress Care

The chair includes four (4) pre-set automatic modes that begin massaging the body within seconds of selecting the course on the remote control. The four auto modes include Deep Tissue, Relax, Rejuvenate, and Stretching. Additionally, there is a bonus auto stretch course called Stress Care, which is explained in the paragraph above.

Lower Back Heat Therapy

The AP-Pro Ultra includes two heating elements in the lower back region of the chair to enhance the massage experience. Heat therapy warms and relaxes tight muscle tissues and allows the rollers to dig deeper into the back.

MP3 Music Player Connection

Space Saving Design

The AP-Pro Ultra's wall-hugging design allows you to place the chair within 4 inches of the nearest wall. This is in comparison to traditional massage chairs, which can require upwards of 2.5 feet behind the massage chair to fully recline. Instead, the base of the Ultra will slide forward on a metal track as you recline the chair.

Manual Functions

Create a customized massage course to your liking by selecting the manual mode on the remote control. When this is selected, you can choose from five (5) roller massage techniques, including Kneading, Tapping, Dual, Shiatsu, and Rolling.

Additionally, with the Spot and Portion remote control buttons, you can choose a specific area of the body where you want the rollers to focus. By choosing Portion, the roller massage heads will massage the general region of the area selected. By choosing Spot, the roller massage heads will massage the specific zone you've selected. Portion is great if you have a general region you want the rollers to focus on, such as the lower back. Spot is more targeted in that it will massage a particular nagging area of the lower back, for example.

Air intensity adjustment - The air intensity of the airbags can be controlled up to 3 levels, from mild to strong
Massage speed control - The speed in which the massage heads move can be controlled up to 3 different speeds, ranging from slow to fast
Massage width control - Adjust the massage roller width up to three settings (narrow, medium or wide)

Foot Extension

The AP-Pro Ultra fits users from 5'0 to about 6'3. To accommodate shorter and taller users, the foot ottoman is able to identify your height by scanning the length of your legs. When a program is selected, the foot ottoman will automatically extend out to its furthest position and then retract. It will stop retracting when the sensor hits the bottom of your feet. You can also do this manually by following the prompts on the bottom of the remote control.

Easy to Use Remote

The AP-Pro Ultra's remote control couldn't be more user friendly. At the very top, the remote boasts an LCD screen that makes it easy to visualize what functions the chair has activated. Navigate through the five automatic programs, the manual settings, adjust the angle of the footrest and backrest, select from the three Zero Gravity positions, modify the airbag intensity, modify the width & speed of the rollers, and much more with ease.

The foot air is too strong and not adjustable enough. I wish the width of the rollers had more adjustments, only 3. Other than that, it’s great and a good value.

My wife and I tried out a NovoXT Human Touch massage chair at Costco last Christmas. I was so impressed with the deep massage and zero gravity function that I almost purchased the chair that day. My wife was the most impressed though, because we finally found something that actually relieved me from the many pains I deal with regularly. I researched chairs on YouTube and read reviews and features for multiple massage chairs. I chose the Apex Ulra because it has the longest L track I could find and seemed to have the highest ratings for giving a deep massage and stretch. It arrived fully assembled ready to go. My wife and I love it, and we’re so glad we didn’t spend over $7,000.00 on the chair at Costco. My wife is more sensitive to the foot and calve massagers, so she places an oven pad over the roller to make it less intense. The 3.5 mm headphone jack for the chair speakers works great with my iPhone. I was very pleased with the knowledge and help I received from customer service at massagechairdeals.com

This is an awesome chair. Very solid massage rollers and goes deep down into the gluts area. I was surprised with the foot n calf rollers being as well! You must not be to over weight. It is slimmer than most and I am bigger guy 5.11′ @ 250lbs and it is a snug fit for me. And I should drop 50lbs.
I would give it a max rating, but the instruction pamphlet is weak. It doesn’t hinder you from learning from the remote, just could use more proper English and we are more a custom to more explanations of functions.
Great chair for price and highly recommend. Super space safer too!!!

The chair was everything I was looking. L Track, heat feature, 3 stages of zero gravity. True it meant for a regular sized person, it fits perfectly. Very tall or large people should not order this model. I often am sound asleep at the end of the massage. I highly recommend the chair. The massagechairdeals.com company were professional and quick, zero problems. The foot massage is a little aggressive so I wear a flip flop to cushion it and that works fine.

The Apex Ultra is a Titan-made chair, appears to be made completely in China and even comes complete with a very limited user manual that was clearly google-translated into English and not proof-read, With that said, the chair itself is excellent and is definitely more on the “firm / intense” side of the massage chair spectrum.

I’m comparing primarily to the Osaki 4000 (rebranded Cozzia) which I demo’d in a store that started this process… the Apex is more full-featured at less price and at the end of the day a better buy.

The chair arrives fully assembled, and has rollers for moving but you WILL need 2 people to balance and move it around safely. The foot rollers are INTENSE – there’s no ifs or but’s about it. Everything else from the calves, hips, L-track and forearm/hand airbags are all moderate in intensity, but the upper neck/cervical area has an optional flip-down pad that can make it mild (I leave it off).

I am a 6’2″ man, 240 pounds, size 38 waist and I fit snugly (comfortably) in the chair, and the lower foot of the chair extends where I don’t feel cramped. As far as particulars of the chair, outside of the normal stuff you can see on any advertisement there is a heating function on the calves and back, there are 4 auto programs at ~15-20 min long, there is a fifth “stretch” program that has its own button and you can adjust intensity, speed, or target a spot or region with relatively easy to use buttons on the remote. You can also specify shiatsu, kneeding, or two other massage types I can’t recall at the moment. The L-track design is NICE! Getting your bum massaged was odd at first but is great when tied into your lower back in combination with the adjustable shoulder airbags to keep you in place, etc. Oh, and it has three zero-gravity settings, an Audio cable for the speakers and is rather compact from a floor space standpoint.

I do like the simple remote (vs the huge stand on the Osaki) but it does take a little getting used to. Again the instruction manual is practically worthless, but I enjoyed experimenting with the different programs to see what each one does.

Overall my wife and I are very happy with the chair, but the real test will be with long-term durability. The only cons I have with this chair are the limited instructions on the various auto programs, and I feel that the foot roller intensity is probably too great for 90% of the population – but that’s solved by wearing thicker socks.

The foot/calf rollers were intense, but great
L-track at this pricepoint is fantastic

I bought this chair in mid-October after researching it for a couple weeks. Before buying it I had no idea what the difference between an S-track and an L-track chair was, so I talked to MCD rep Mike and he kindly explained what the difference was. I immediately knew I wanted an L-track chair after that conversation because I wanted a chair that had physical rollers in the seat of the chair. I wasn’t sure that air bags in the seat was going to be sufficient enough, so Mike narrowed down my options to two chairs within my budget: either this chair or the Titan TP-8400. I have a small frame (5’7, 145 lbs) so he suggested I choose this one over the Titan model because this one offered several extra features and because this model is designed for smaller frames, so I decided to pull the trigger after doing more researching and sleeping on it for a few more nights. The chair arrived to my home about a week after purchasing and it has been a big hit with my kids and husband. The rollers are pretty deep but that’s precisely what I was looking for. The rollers in the calf and the bottom on the feet are pure bliss and are a welcome feature. It’s worth pointing out to others that we also have limited space in the bedroom I wanted to place it in and I was concerned that the chair would be too tight or wouldn’t fit at all in there, but Mike reassured me that it’s the smallest chair they carry and that I wouldn’t have to worry about it. It fits seamlessly next to my bed with a lot of room to spare! As the other reviewer mentioned as well assembly was mostly done and it took about 10-15 minutes in total to carry it in and unbox it. Great buy!

The Apex Ultra was not even on my radar when I was looking at massage chairs…. I really wanted the Infinity Iyashi as I tried it out at a friend’s home and was amazed by it. I thought rollers in the seat was a standard massage chair feature but learned that only a select few have this new feature. While I enjoyed the massage and wanted the chair I was not ready to dish out $5300 for the Iyashi so an employee of this site suggested this chair while talking to her in a chat.

She actually also said this chair used to retail for over $4000 as well before the chair’s distributor dropped the price of it, so it was an even bigger bargain. After she said that I researched the chair and was pleasantly surprised that it has very similar specs as a chair almost double its price. The chair itself even has a longer massage track than Iyashi. One thing that I would note is that this chair as a VERY intense neck, shoulder, calf and foot roller massage — so intense that I was considering returning it after my first time but my body got used to it after a few sittings and now I quite enjoy the massages in those areas.

Assembly was very easy to do. Everything was set up you just have to put on the foot portion. The wife and I are happy with the purchase.

this chair is distributed by the same company that produces the Osaki and Titan chairs. i was hesitant to buy this because i thought this chair was a no-name brand but did so after that was clarified for me. good chair
