42″ Extended Roller System (L-Track)
The Osaki OS-4000LS Massage Chair comes with a 42″ roller track and is designed with both an S-Track and L-Track scheme. In layman’s terms, the “S-Track” follows the natural “S-shaped” curvature of the spine.
In all S-Track chairs, the roller massage cuts off at the tailbone area; but with the OS-4000LS, the quad rollers veer into the seat of the chair to massage the gluteal muscles, including the piriformis and sacroiliac muscles. It’s called an “L-Track” because in combination with the “S-track,” the massage stroke makes a rough “L” shape.
With the OS-4000LS, you get the best of both worlds. The L-Track roller system massages from the neck, down your entire back, and finally reaches your buttocks and thighs.
New! Foot Rollers
Dual mechanical rollers are located underneath the soles of each feet that provide deep tissue, therapeutic kneading to the bottoms of the feet. While this is occurring, airbags will inflate and deflate on the sides of the feet to create a squeezing-like action. The intensity of the airbag pressure can be controlled from the remote control.
Airbags also inflate and deflate in the calves region, providing a rejuvenating calf massage.
Zero Gravity Recline
The innovative and increasingly popular Zero Gravity positioning is a NASA inspired design. When the Zero Gravity button is chosen on the remote control, the legs are placed at heart level. This “weightless” position promotes better circulation, reduces the vertical pressure on the back, and promotes spinal decompression. This is a must-have feature in all massage chairs.
24 Air Compression Massage Pieces
Because the OS-4000LS has an extended roller system that covers a larger swath of the body, fewer airbags are needed overall to massage the critical areas of the anatomy not covered by the 42″ massage stroke. The airbags massage the shoulders, arms, hands, lower back, calves and feet. The air intensity can be adjusted by pressing the “Intensity” button. There are three airbag intensity options — from from mild to strong.
Adjustable Shoulder Width
The OS-4000LS is one of the few massage chairs that has a shoulder width adjustment to accommodate users of various heights and builds. Most chairs typically have shoulder massagers that stationary and can not be adjusted. This can often neglect not only taller and shorter users, but people who have broader and narrower shoulders. With this chair, this feature takes care of that for you. There are three levels of adjustments available, from the maximum of 9.85 inches to the minimum of 7.09 inches.
Space Saving Recline
As is the case for most L-track massage chairs, the chair will slide slightly forward during your massage session. Thus, the design of the chair allows you to place the OS-4000LS within 4 inches of the wall even during the chair’s maximum recline. Non L-track chairs will require up to 2 feet of clearance in front of the wall. This makes a perfect feature for people who have limited space to work with or want the chair that doesn’t take up a lot of floor space.
6 Automatic Programs
The OS-4000LS comes with six touch-and-go automated modes that target the entire body. The auto modes featured on the OS-4000LS include Deep Tissue, Stretch, Energy, Relax, Full Air, and Manual Air.
Auto program descriptions:
- Deep Tissue: This auto program engages the full body in a deep tissue massage. This program focuses on the neck, shoulders, waist and hips.
- Stretch: This auto program consists of a full body stretching auto program, including the back muscles, hands, hamstrings and the rest of the body.
- Energy: The perfect auto program to choose when starting your day. This mode will deliver a light, stimulating tapping massage throughout the whole body.
- Relax: This auto program will start with a slow kneading and heavy tapping massage, which progresses into an in-depth massage that targets the neck and lower back.
- Full Air: This auto program takes advantage of the chair’s airbag technology. It will apply a full body air pressure massage to the shoulders, arms, palms, lower back, buttocks, thighs, calves and feet. The intensity of the air massage can be adjusted by pressing the “Intensity” button.
- Manual Air: This auto program will activate the airbag massagers to massage the areas of the body you want to target, including the shoulders, arms, palms, lower back, buttocks, thighs, calves and feet. As is the case in the Full Air mode, you can also adjust the intensity of the air massagers by pressing the “Intensity” button.
Customized Manual Mode
With the OS-4000LS, you can dive into the remote control’s manual mode to pinpoint specific areas of the body you want the rollers and airbags to target. For example, if you have a sore neck, you can localize the massage in that particular area and only that area. You can also set the width of the rollers (from wide to narrow), the position of the rollers and more. The manual mode massage techniques include Kneading, Tapping, Shiatsu, and Rolling.
Vibration Massage
The OS-4000LS has two plates in the seat of the chair that can be turned on in order to enjoy a soothing vibration massage. This feature can be activated by pressing the “Vibration” button on the remote.
Lumbar Heat Therapy
The OS-4000LS has two heating modules in the lower back region of the chair that helps soothe away muscle tension. Heat therapy not only loosens up the lower back muscle fibers, but will allow the rollers to provide a deeper massage across the lower back and lumbar region.
Spring Loaded Extendable Ottoman
This chair will allow users of virtually all heights and builds to use the chair. Because of that, the OS-4000LS is designed with a spring loaded feature in the foot ottoman that can accommodate users who are up to 6’4 in height. When you sit in the chair, if you want to extend the foot ottoman, simply push with your legs to extend it out. You can also manually adjust the legrest via the remote control.
Body Scanning Technology

Best Chair EVERI did a months worth of research. Other chairs were more expensive but did not offer the L track. That's the tushie massage. My wife and have used this chair almost every single day 3,4 and even 5 times a day. I am on my feet all day and she sits at a desk. This chair is amazing. I was skeptical and worried because it was the most we have ever paid for a chair. This chair is AMAZING the feet massage is great. suggest wearing socks makes it perfect. improvements make the back light more visual so you can see it. got a light next to the chair problem solved. would like have it run for an hour straight. K. BrooksI LOVE this chair. I had a different make and model for years and thought it was the best thing ever...boy was I wrong. The 4000LS has lot of bells and whistles. Mike suggested a more updated version because the color we ordered was not in stock and might not be for a long time...we opted to change the color and stay with the 4000LS. There are so many options to choose from... It is a good thing it comes with a detailed Instruction Manual. The Deep Tissue option was a little overwhelming the first time I tried it...but now it is my favorite. It is amazing how quickly it gets your body into relax mode. Yes it is almost expected to put you to sleep. The only thing I don't like is that the On /Off power button is way in the back towards the floor. Since the chair is smaller and can fit into tighter spaces , it makes it difficult to each around the back and get down to the floor to turn it on and off. It has become the favorite piece of furniture in the house now.

I was going to order the 4000CS that Costco had on sale but after some researching I kept seeing other OSAKI 4000 series like the OS-4000 and this OS-4000LS. I was told by a rep named Mike (the same Mike that others are referencing probably) that this OS-4000LS is the same model as OS-4000CS except this version had foot rollers. We absolutely love these chairs! We decided that we had to have a his and hers set up for our new basement and they are a hit. The foot rollers are probably my favorite, oh and the deep tissue setting. They're easy to operate and have a very nice appearance to boot.
One last thing I have to mention is the top notch service we received from massagechairdeals.com. I ordered the chairs on Tuesday a week before Thanksgiving and absolutely needed them by the next Wednesday as we were entertaining for Thanksgiving. I purchased this chair as an early Christmas gift and I simply love it. The chair has 6 pre-programmed massages so if you don't want to learn everything that you can do with the remote you can simply choose to use one of those. I use the deep tissue and stretch options almost exclusively.
The set up was very simple since the only thing not installed was the foot/leg attachment and it was pretty fool proof.
I have had no problems with the chair, it works like a charm. Getting it into place was the only difficulty found and that was due to it size and weight. If you have any steps that you need to negotiate then you will need to plan ahead because of it's weight. Take note of the chairs dimensions so that you don't run into in problems. I found that the doorway to my bedroom was undersized so that the door and frame had to be removed.

I'm ashamed to admit that I spoke to Mike more than a half dozen times about which chair would be right for me. I was completely overwhelmed with all the choices out there. A place to try out the chair was no where near where I lived so I relied heavily on his input. He was tremendously helpful going through every model and narrowing down what chair would be right for me.
In the end I decided to go with an L-track chair because that's what we agreed would fit the needs of my wife and I. The 4000LS's L-track massages not only the back with the rollers but also reaches the glutes and comes back up to massage the back.
There were a few other L-track chairs we were looking at but we kept coming back to this chair. The reason? The SHOULDER ADJUSTMENT. My wife is very petite and I have much broader shoulders. This is the only L-track offered where you can push the shoulder housing in or out up to three settings to fit us both comfortably.
We've had the 4000LS for about 2 months now and while the narrowest shoulder housing option is still a little wide for my petite wife, the other options would have been far worse and prevented her from getting the best shoulder massage possible. I use the very widest shoulder adjustment and it fits me perfectly. If you have a petite frame or have someone in your household who has a smaller frame, this is a feature you NEED. Mike told me that all the other chairs minus two others that we didn't want have this feature.
Other than that quibble which might not be a big deal for other.. the HEATING, FOOT ROLLERS, ARM MASSAGE, ZERO GRAVITY and STRETCH modes are fantastic.
This chair stays in Zero Gravity after the massage timer is complete which was a pleasant surprise because I assumed that it would go back in the upright position when the cycle completed. This is a great bonus for both of us who have been caught sleeping in the 4000LS several times.
